BT30 Biological Indicator consists of two tubes, A and B.<\/p>\n
Tube A contains a population of Bacillus atrophaeus ATCC 9372 spores soaked on a paper strip attached to the cap.<\/p>\n
The auxiliary plastic tube B protects the glass ampoule which contains a blue growth indicator medium.<\/p>\n
IMPORTANT: Sterilize only tube A by dry heat.<\/p>\n
WARNING! Do not sterilize tube B which contains the ampoule.<\/p>\n

\nBT30 Biological Indicator is specifically designed for monitoring Dry Heat sterilization processes at 160 – 180 \u00baC .
\nIf the sterilization process was not successful, the indicator media will change from blue to yellow after incubation at 37\u00b12 \u00b0C, thus indicating the presence of live Bacillus atrophaeus
\nspores.
\nIf sterilization process was successful the indicator medium will remain blue after incubation. The final readout should be performed after 48 hours of incubation at 37\u00b12 \u00b0C<\/p>\n
