The Chemdye® CDWA indicators consist of a temperature-stable carrier (70 x 30 mm) containing a mixture of naturally colored blended components (proteins, carbohydrates, fatty acids and dyes). In all cases, the indicator test stain (blue) is non-toxic, dissolves with most of the cleaning agent and is discharged with the wash liquid. The CDWA cleaning indicator formulations allow the detection of all factors affecting the outcome of the cleaning process. The CDWA indicators can be used for routine control of cleaning processes and allow monitoring of washing efficiency in automatic machines, including ultrasonic, washing machines with different washing configurations.
The CDWA cleaning system offers two different cleaning levels with different adhesion characteristics,
thus allowing different levels of challenge to test the effectiveness of cleaning. The effectiveness of the indicators is validated by comparison with the soiling samples detailed in the annexes to ISO/TS 15883-5:2005.
